Amazing the difference two weeks makes.  And props to Under Armor....they make some super stretchy shirts that are extra long.   I have gotten my money out this one.

29 Weeks

How Far Along: 29 Weeks 2 Days

How Big is Baby: Size of a Butternut Squash and measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighing in between  2.5 to 3.8 pounds

Weight Gain: So I really haven't gotten on the scales since my last Doctor's visit over two weeks ago.   I was kinda dreading it...23 lbs so not to bad.

Sleep: After having a week off and then going back to work sleep came easier, still having issues with my legs at night wanting to jump around and then having to go to bathroom 14 million times.   This little booger is camped out SOOO low it isn't even funny!!!

Best moment this week: I celebrated my 31st birthday Sunday....well Friday, Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed a wonderful weekend just hanging out and playing.   Jeremy also arranged a surprise dinner with the family after I thought everyone was not going to make it!!!  He and Amelia picked out a beautiful David Yurman pearl ring to match my necklace and FABULOUS pink hat for the beach!

Food Cravings: Back to cold water and Gatorade.   Cannot get enough of it.

Foods I Can't Stand: Still not fond of any type of seafood

Movement: Baby Hutch has been getting the hiccups alot here lately...Jeremy was able to feel them the other night, along with the rolling and punching/kicking this booger is doing.   This kiddo is super active in the morning and early evening....

What I miss:  I laughed and told Jeremy I think I finally realized I was pregnant last week. Things have started to get difficult, like putting on shoes and bending over,  the
uncomfortable sleeping positions, and heartburn ( I keep tums in my desk drawer and my students just laugh at me when I take them) and I officially was busted waddling the other day!!!

What I am looking forward to: Ready for it to be warm enough for the pool....look out this sexy body is getting in a bathing suit!!!  HA!!!

Milestones: Still able to run...if that is what you want to call.  Yes... I consider this a milestone.  Lugging 23 extra pounds on a 3 mile run has its challenges.

Working on My Fitness: My Week consisted of walking 3-4 miles 4 days with the family, and then my birthday present to myself was a 5K run Saturday.   I ran almost all of it...it had a few large hills and I walked two of them.   Finished it in 31:20 and 6th in my age group.   Woohoo!!!

Other updates:  Went back to the Dr on Monday.  I don't think I will ever schedule an appointment that late in the day again.   My brain was fried after being at school all day.   Forgot to ask the heart beat...but it was beating strong.   Did not get a platelet count, but found out a few more details.   As of last appointment I was at 100K.  They will do levels in two weeks.   The magic number is 75K.   The anesthesiologists do not like to do a spinal or epidural once they get below 75K.  However, if they do go below that I will be able to take a steroid treatment to bust them up (and more than likely my ass too) but that will not occur until closer to delivery.   If the platelets go below 75K and do not come up with the treatment I will have to do general anesthesia with a c-section.   I asked and there is nothing I can eat, drink, do/not do to keep them from dropping.  So please say a prayer that they stay above or around 75k.

27 Weeks

How Far Along: 27 Weeks 6 Days
How Big is Baby: The size of an cauliflower or roughly weighing in at 1.5 - 2.2 lbs and about 13.6-14.8 inches long

Weight Gain: Didn't get on the scales this week.  To busy moving and playing....see what the verdict is next week.

Sleep: Seriously do I have to do here....most night this past week were great.  However, Thursday night Amelia woke up wet at 2:30 got in the bed with us because her sheets where soaked.  I COULD NOT go back to sleep.  At 5:30 I finally went back to bed and fell asleep.   We had painters coming that morning so I was up at 7:45.  To say I was fire breathing two headed dragon was an understatement.   Friday night was any better.  I was EXHAUSTED!!!  Got in the the bed and could not get comfortable.  My legs would itch, I would have to pee....I did not go to sleep until after 1:00.  Had to get up early to go to the St. Paddy's Day 5k.   I took a power nap middle of the day.   Last night I crashed and feel much better today
Best moment this week: Spring Break....so I had the entire week off and Amelia and I played and played.  We also moved Amelia to her new big girl room and she was so excited.
Food Cravings: nothing really
Foods I Can't Stand: anything that smells fishy
Movement: Still jumping and moving around.  Little joker has been as active as Amelia and I have this week!!!
What I miss:  Good cold beer!!! With all this nice weather...sitting on porch and drinking a frosty beverages would hit the spot!
What I am looking forward to: Starting on the nursery.  I have found some fabric that I like.   It is always a challenge to make it neutral...but still fun!  And hitting the final stretch....I start the third trimester tomorrow!
Milestones: Start the third trimester tomorrow....really this pregnancy is flying by!!!
Working on My Fitness: Being off this week and the weather gave me a chance to really get outside!!!  Took Sunday off, Monday and Tuesday ran with Amelia in the stroller.   Walked with Jeremy on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and finished up yesterday with the St. Paddy's Day 5k Run.   Completed it in 32 minutes....amazing the difference in 3 weeks...its getting tough to lug this belly and body around!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!

No green beer today....however I might give my right pinkie toe for one.  The weather has been great for porch sitting with a frosty beverage.
Anyway ...we were up early this morning to do the St. Paddy's Day 5k downtown.  It was a family afair again,  with Mom,Dad Taylor, Maris, Jeremy, Amelia and myself.   We were split down the middle with walkers and runners and all had a great time!!!
We ate breakfast at Primos afterwards and now are busy moving Amelia to her new big girl room.....say a pray...we all need it today.

Working on Our Fitness

About 1 mile into my run today I notice someones legs were hanging awful low and I wasn't being asked the millions of questions that I usually get.....This is what I found.

I don't blame her...kinda wished we could have changed places.

After looking at the above pic (sorry its a little blurry) I realized this was not the first time this has happened.   I think she was about 5 months old here....boy that stroller has a few miles on it.   Good thing we are upgrading in a few months...

26 Weeks

How Far Along: 26 Weeks 6 Days

Weight Gain: 18 lbs....didnt gain any weight this week...this is according to the weight in at the dr.  Seriously though I have done some major growing.

Sleep: Pretty good.  I am loving my body pillow and it even made the trip with us.

Best moment this week: Brady and Anna got married at the beach so we had a nice little getaway to Gulf Shores.  OH and this little thing called Spring Break started.

Food Cravings: still loving the fruit.  I am eating bananas like they are going out of style.

Foods I Can't Stand: Not to fond of seafood

Movement: My belly is kungfu fighting... chops, punches, jabs, kicks...all day long.   I can see them through my shirt.

Momma Got Poked Twice

It was back to the baby doctor today for our 4 week check up and because we were heading out if town Amelia made the trip with us.

She was super good and really excited to see Mom get "poked" twice.

I had my lovely glucose test ....everything was fantastic.   I celebrated by eating a sucker that I got when I took my rhogam (sp) shot.   The nurse let Amelia go pick one out for her and Momma.

My platelets are another issue.  They had dropped...which I figured they would, because they started dropping around this time with Amelia. At the last check they were 136k.  (Normal range for pregnancy is 150k and up) I expected around 125ish but those suckers took a nose dive to 100k.  This is what they were when I had Amelia.   This little booger is greedy!!!

We are on a watch and see plan.   I will start going every 2 weeks now and they will monitor the platelets to see where they go.   I do know that if they get to a certain level I will not be able to be awake during the c-section.  So say a little pray I would like for them to stay up.

Baby's heartbeat was up some this week at 150.  Amelia was quite interested in the sound it was making.  Priceless face!!!

Again, I cannot brag on what a good girl she was in the doctors office.   Oh!!! She also went with me to do the standard pee in the cup...love the questions she can come up with.   Anyway while we we re waiting she had to go potty...I heard her tell her daddy in the hallway "Daddy, I don't have use the potty i can tee tee in the cup ...that is what momma did!"   What a mess.....

Rough Weather 'Round These Parts....

The weather got rough this afternoon, however Jeremy and I in the other room could not feel or see any of the affects. I guess the storm only stayed in the playroom. And OH what a storm it was. There is not a basket with anything in it, or a shelf left unturned.....

"The History Run!!!"

Last Saturday the whole fam...minus Mollie hiked it to Vicksburg to participate in either the 10k run or 5k walk thru History.  It was a nice challenging walk/run with plenty of hills and a small mountains for Mississippi.  We all survived some...even placing high in our age groups.
After burning a few calories we all felt it was only fair to replenish a few of those calories so we went and ate at the "Cracker Bear" restaurant for a nice yummy breakfast.
We are all geared up and working on our fitness....Everyone is signed up and ready to kick some Irish tail in two weeks at the St. Paddy's day race....so get your green ready!!!!

Team Amelia...Woo and Pox shared stroller duty!

Pox, Me, Woo, Maris, and Taylor...Amelia is the orange things...photog cut her head out

25 Weeks

I had a stand in to help me with my picture this week....she was showing her belly too.

Also, no running clothes...but I am not sure these are any better

25 Weeks

How Far Along: 25 Weeks 5 Days

How Big is Baby: The size of an eggplant or roughly weighing in at 1.5 - 2.2 lbs  and about 13.6-14.8 inches long

Weight Gain: 18 lbs....We hit a MAJOR growth spurt this week.  I had a student tell me this morning "Man, that baby sure has popped out this week"  I had to agree.

Sleep: Flip Flop, change sides...go pee....flip flop...change sides...go pee.....get this picture???

Best moment this week: Enjoying the warm weather and playtime outside.

Food Cravings: Apples, Cantaloupes, Strawberries...really loving some fruit at this moment.

Foods I Can't Stand: Nothing in Particular

Movement: My stomach is twisting and turning right now.   Amelia got to feel the baby kick and she said it pooped?!? Go figure.  Lots of movement and enjoying every minute.

What I miss:Pain free hip.  My sciatic has come back with avengence.  It started Sunday and has not let up.  I even had to come home early from work one day.  I couldn't get it to stop hurting sitting down or standing.   It was miserable.   Finally called the Dr. to confirm it was the ol' sciatic and I was right....that was the good news.   I was slightly afraid I might have done something running, but not the case.   Bad news....it is more than likely not going to get any better.   Baby just likes to hang out around the nerve.  They prescribed me some muscle relaxers for when it gets really bad and some stretches to do to keep it loose...which have helped.

What I am looking forward to: Doing a 5K walk with Mom, Dad and Amelia tomorrow!!!

Milestones: Almost to the end of the second trimester....hard to believe!!!

Working on My Fitness: Ran 4 miles Saturday, took Sunday off due to the evil hip, walked Monday because I was afraid I had injured my hip, hit up a 5:30 AM spin Class on Tuesday, Walked with the fam on Wednesday, Played tennis on Thursday with the spring league team, and walked again today with Mom and Amelia.  A 5k is planned for in the morning....and then next week I will start the running again!!!
