Smart Ass - The Game
For the past several years we have been gathering at my parents house on Christmas Eve to eat, relax and just hang out. We also usually invite my aunt and uncle up to enjoy the festivities.
After eating, it's become a tradition to play a game. This year Jeremy and Taylor found his one on our field trip to look at lights and eat. "Smart Ass". The game was lots of fun. Think trivial pursuit for dummies. The games slogan "even a dumb ass can win!!!".
I think it was perfect for our family game night!!!
Santa Stopped By
That strange guy came one more time, but this time he left a kitchen set!!! Someone was pumped. Amelia has cooked and washed dished and played hard for two days nonstop. He even found her a little apron so she wouldn't get her clothes messy!!'
Her Party Clothes
Amelia had a Tea Party with her Aunt MoPo and Woo yesterday. She needed to look fab, so we brought her tutu and boots out and paired it with her pearls and she was ready to go...almost. You can't go to a Tea Party without putting on your face. Or at least dumping Moms on the floor and pretending
Before and After
The kitchen floor is getting a face lift 30+ years in the making. As much as it saddens me to say goodbye to the cobblestone lamenent flooring, I find joy in the nice modern peel and stick tile that we are putting down. Oh how times have changed.

I Think He's Stalking Me

The Simple Things
Like a clothes basket or a box make the best toys. This basket has earned it's keep. It's been with me since my freshman year of college so it's a go a few miles on it. Guess. What. It's a getting a few more. Today it was a boat or some form or motor that did wheelies. Plus it carries 5 loads of laundry up and down the stairs.
Oh yeah. See the shelf... It works as a toy ladder, yes we like to climb stuff too. But I will save that for another day!!!!

Twinkle Twinkle She's a Star
We officially kicked off the Holiday Season this past weekend with bang. We started Saturday morning by
getting our fitness on with a little Jingle Bell Jog action to support Blair E Batson Children's Cancer Clinic

Of course, you can't forget the Parade, but we were so engrossed in the action, that we forgot to take a picture. Same thing with the Singing Christmas Tree. I do not think Amelia blinked the entire time we were there.
Sunday, we had the Christmas Program at church. Amelia and her buddy Gabriel were Stars. They were to walk down then isle and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. They did a great job, and only strayed from the original plan just a tiny bit. I am just going to let the pictures tell the story.
Walking down the isle....Wait is that Pops...and Woo...and Nena...and Nena (2)
I think I am going to stop. Yep, this looks good. Keep, playing I will be down to the front in a few.
Yep, this works....
Hey, Gabriel!!! You went left man!!! I found a good spot back up the isle!
Woo...Woo...Wooo...please come get me!! There are strange looking character!!!
We are recovering now from our busy weekend. We ran so much that little one has the Croup (sp) She woke up this morning sound like she smoked three packs a day for 40 years....Streriods and some chickfila and we are on the road to recovery!

My Demise.....
These arrived and I was thrilled and depressed at the same time. See I have tried to start Weight Watched oh about 14 times in the last 4 weeks and FAILED miserably. I forgot I ordered them back in October and I was really having a craving for sweets. Now if you know me well you know I seriously L.O.V.E my peanut butter and chocolate.
and well.....I was going to be good with them and stretch them out....
BUT....
The week got really busy and this landed on my desk.
Bet you can guess how long those peanut butter cups lasted????
I am however walking/hoping to be running soon with some people at work and signed up to do my first 5K in since Amelia. Yeah that getting back to to running after the baby took a little longer than I hoped. We will see how that turns out....Maybe I will not pass out.

Surprise!!!
Last Wednesday was Jeremy's 31st birthday. We went out to eat and celebrated, but little did he know he had a surprise party in store. See a little while back he did this and I told him he would never live it down. Well....Superhero themed party he we come. We had a variety of characters appear and had a great time. Jeremy did not have a clue. He said it was a little scary that I could plan all of this and he never knew a thing.
Here he is in his Super Hutt Costume...complete with fake chest hair and a sparkly "H"

In My Red High Heels
Last night we went out for Jeremy's birthday. I had Amelia dress in the cute little sweatshirt dress and her snazzy little black boots. Well... she had other plans. She ran back to her closet and grabbed her "fancy" shoe shoes proceeded to plop down in my lap and hand the shoes to me to put on. I guess she is developing her own sense of fashion already. So she wore them and kept them on, white socks and all. She looked FABULOUS!!!

It's Over Meow
Today Meow's quiet peaceful world under the bed all came crashing down He will never be the same. The look on his face when I bent down to pull Amelia out by her feet ( she was after a ball and then discovered meows hiding spot) was so sad. He looked at me with sadness as to say
"where am I going to go and hide, will I ever have peace again?".
I told him. His game was up and he was SOL, and no, the was no peace an quiet and if he found it please let me know.
Then I grabbed Amelia by the heels and drugged her out before she got to far gone.

We're Not Slowing Up a Bit....
Monday evening we had the first annual Pumpkin Carving at Brady's house. Everyone had their own Pumpkin and looked deep down and found the inner artist. Of course you can't carve a punpkin without power tools...right??? Well this group can't. You can check out all the exciting pumpkin carving by clicking here
Tuesday was Grandy's 80th birthday and boy did he have a big party!!! He just didn't know he was going to. Seventy of his closest friends gathered to suprise him. He had no clue and was truly surprise. I took quite a few pictures so you can just click here to check them out.
Hopefully the rest of the week will be fairly calm....but who knows.

Pumpkin Patch
We've had a busy weekend. We ended it today with a trip to the local pumpkin patch!
The Pumpkin Patch had all kinds of neat things....
Here Amelia is playing in the "Corn"box. She loved it!
Next we went through the Hay Maze. She liked the big tunnel, but the smaller tunnel...umm not so much!
After the hay maze, we loaded up for the Hay Ride! We got to stop and watch Farmer Doug feed his cows, Lavern, Shirley, Thelma and Louise. Soo much fun!!!
Cruisin' on the Hayride.
We finally got to the Pumpkin Patch and oh the choices....Amelia would pick a pumpkin up then throw it.
She went between several different pumpkins before deciding on her favorite.
We loaded back up, pumpkins in hand, and set out to the barn!
We almost left without getting to milk the Molly the Mooo Cow. This is Amelia's buddy she met while there. It was just us and them and another couple. It was so nice and peaceful and we got to take our time.
The Pumpkin Patch was great. If you are around the Clinton area stop by and check it out Trace Farms Pumpkin Patch. We sure enjoyed it!
