Bennett's Big Day

Today we Bennett was baptized.   It was such a special day for all four of us as a family.   We attend the small church the I grew up in, was married in and all of my family attends.   Mr. David, the pastor did a wonderful sermon that incorpated Bennett his Baptism.

We had a dinner at Mom's house afterwards for all the family.   We couldn't have asked for a better day.

Bennett slept through the entire church service then woke up right before.   He was wet and not really sure of what was going on.   He SCREAMED!!!! the entire ceremony.   I just said he was filled with the Holy Spirit.   Apparently all that religion he received wiped his little fanny out, because he smoothe passed out for 3.5 hours this afternoon.

It took 5 takes and this is what we got!!!

Three Months

My Smiley Man

Somebody is three months old today!!! Holy Moly time has flown.  It really is hard to believe that this little, well big guy is already this old.   In the past few weeks the "big man" and we have started calling him has really grown.   He is now weighing in at a whopping 14.5 lbs and is 25 inches long!!!  Seriously he looks like a 6 month old.   He has not lost ANY of his head full of hair he had birth, it has only gotten thicker and longer.   He is STILL not sleeping through the night on a regular basis, which is about to drive me nuts.  However, we are working on that.  He is currently like clockwork and wakes up at 3AM.  We are working to wean him off that bottle.  He will sleep through the night and has done it quite a few times, just not consistently....I like consisitency.

We have gotten that mean little tummy situation under control.  He is still taking his Zantac three times a day and drinking his "liquid gold" formula.   He takes five 6oz bottles throughout the day and has cereal in his nighttime bottle.

His little personality is showing through more and more.  He will smile and laugh all the time.   He found his voice last week and hasn't looked back.   He coos or woos and will squawk and squeak at you.   We are practicing the dreaded tummy time, he still despises it, and working on sitting up.  He loves his play mat and loves to pull the toy that makes music.

Bennett is in awe of his sister, and she is doing such a good job.   He watches her whenever she is close (which I really don't blame him) and loves for her to talk or sing to him.   She will give up her treasured blanket if he is crying to help calm him, or sing Twinkle Twinkle to him....and it works!!!  She really is a great big sister.

It is amazing how fast little ones grow and change.
