Bring on the Rain

I've always been told or at least in my experience found that having a
clean car makes it rain. Well I have a clean car.
Amelia however did NOT like her part in getting a clean car.   She would have prefered to sit this one out!!!

Big day for Jeremy yesterday, He had the Lt. Governor come and visit. They discussed all the important facts on the clean energy they were producing and all the money the group was putting back into the local economy.

I got to tag along and take pictures for him. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see everything…even if it was 112 degrees. Too bad didn’t get one in my hardhat, safety glasses and earplug….it was SEXY!!!

Before taking the tour, the gang explained the ins and outs of everything…too much for me to comprehend, but interesting.

Next they toured the compressor building. Jeremy was showing the Lt. Governor how everything is touch screen

Finally, a tour of the grounds! I can only imagine what he is saying, we sure know he was telling him something with those hand motions.

Happy Father's Day!!

We hit the road today early and headed down to Smith County for a lunch celebration on the Hutchinson side for all the Dad's.   What a group, Amelia played and played until she completely wore herself out.  

She got to hang out with her cousin Summer.   Summer was Amelia's bff after she took her riding on the golf cart.  

She even got to have a little chocolate pudding.  

We packed it up and headed back for the second celebration.   We gathered at the pool and cooked hamburgers for Father's Day.   Amelia decided she would walk, just that simple. She cruised all over the pool. The more attention clapping the better. To cool off, she got back in the pool for the second time. After all that hard work walking and swimming, she was exhausted. She is never this still, so when she fell asleep, we knew Big Girl needed to go home!

(Sorry for the "lovely" look, I did not get much warning on the picture, plus holding a 24 lbs child in 100 degree weather = hot!!!)

On side note, she has been loving being at Woo and Pop's house.  There is always something to do and something to get into.   

Even gates cannot contain her.  This guy lasted 5 minutes before she had it on the ground.   

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day, I called to tell mine Happy Father's day and he was getting off the trolley to go tour this and then going to hear these two.    Sounds like a pretty good day!

Update

So I think we may have our feet under us...okay seriously who I am kidding.   We are adjusting to moving home pretty well.   Jeremy is busy with his new job and getting things up and running.   I have a new job!!!  Woohoo.  Not the same as my old one, but I am excited about this one.   I will still be teaching high school special education here. 

We are still looking for a place to live.   So until then...we are hanging out at my parents.   Amelia is loving the summer.   She is sleeping to 8 or 8:30 most morning (love her for that) and swimming like a fish.   Well not so much swimming like a fish, but loves the pool and water.  

We hanging out and enjoying the days.   Hope to have more updates with picutres soon.  We found  bought a new charger for my camera and we are back and running.

Today we went shopping and Amelia chose to spend some of her bday
money on new pj's, two pair to exact. She would not let go, even
to get in the car.

One year!!!  Its hard to believe that its been one year since Miss Priss entered our lives.   Lets just say she rocked our world...  I wouldn't trade a single moment, yes even those when she was screaming and throwning a giant fit!   I have quite a few pictures to upload, so be on the look out.  

We celebrated her official birthday tonight by going out to eat and having cake at home.   I think she has had more cake in the past week than one small human should, but seriously, you only turn 1 once!

Anyway, thanks for hanging with us for the past year or so....it's been an adventure on our side!
