It's Beach Time
I know this picture has nothing to do with white sandy beaches and clear blu water, but oh what a difference a year makes. Last year we headed out looking like the Grizwalds. I even think we dropped Aunt Edna near Calera, however this year you can actually SEE out of the back window of the car and the is nothing on top!!!

I think it's a sure bet the big girl likes lasagna. I had to take the bowl away before she began licking it. Thanks for the yummy lunch Nina.

The Blueberry Monster
Amelia has a new favorite fruit, blueberries. She likes the so much she will pick them and eat the straight from the bush. Famer Mellon has done extremely well this year with all his fruis and veggies. We have had okra, squash, peas, watermelon and canteloupe from the garden and now blueberries.
Amelia on the other hand is not exactly the biggest help when it comes to picking. She does more eating. Hence the video (sorry about the Blair Witch style video)
We have to keep the bucket off the ground so she doesn't eat all that we have picked. Again, she is quite the greedy little piglet.
See I told you she knew which ones to pick…
And aren’t they pretty??? Oh and really, really good too!!!
Pops was telling her all about the blueberries and helping Amelia pick
And check out that belly in the pic above...I think I know where all the blueberries are going???
And Woo, well, she was not much help in the effort. She just kept feeding Amelia the blueberries. Just kidding, she did her fair share of picking, too.
Needless to say, we have enjoyed homemade blueberry cobbler and and keeping or fingers crossed on some blueberry muffins.

Her Choice of "Running Shoes"
For her birthday, Amelia recieved these spiffy little rain boots. She has worn them around the house and seems to have her own little swagger when she puts them on. I went outside to swap carseats and when I came back in, she had swapped her shoes. She felt these were more appropriate for running. Whatever.....

Thirsty Thursday
For the past few Thursday’s, Cortney and I have been getting the kiddo’s together for an afternoon swim and snacks. Instead of our usual swim, this week we took a field trip!!! We ventured to Vicksburg to the Children’s Art Park. There were lots of interesting items in the park, but nothing compared to this fountain (and really is it what we came for)
The gang enjoyed themselves and ran and splashed in the water for a good 45 minutes before they discovered the steps…then it went downhill. No not really, they just wanted to roam more.
I have lots of pictures of our adventure so you can click HERE and see!!!
We had a blast and are planning more field trips, of course on Thursday!

Bilobi, Birdwatchin', Balloon, and BBQ
Oh What a busy weekend! We have about covered every aspect of life that you can imagine!!!
Friday was a day to take it easy. Amelia just hung out and played in her giant “bowl” that her aunt Mollie got her for her Birthday. It’s a Bilobi…its European? Seriously, it’s a giant plastic toy that lets her use her imagination. She can sit in it, spin it, climb on top of it….the list goes on and on. And since she LOVES her Tupperware and bowls, her Aunt Mollie felt it best to purchase this little sucker for her birthday back in June.
On Saturday, we started the day our early with Bird Watching and Breakfast. Now, my Dad, bless his heart, loves his Purple Martin’s. He is a member of the Purple Martin Society and has built a nice little habitat for the Purple Martin’s in the back yard. It apparently was such a nice habitat that all the Martin’s from in town left and now live at Dad’s. So since Dad “stole” all the Martin’s from town, Mom and Dad will have the ex-Martin owner’s up for supper every once in a while to watch the bird’s. However, this time of year, they have been flying around breakfast so we cooked a nice breakfast and watched on the patio
We were not finished with Saturday. That evening we loaded up and headed north to Canton for the Balloon Glow and Fireworks. It was beautiful. The weather was perfect and we had the best seats in the house. Amelia got to hang with Cooper and just roam her little area.
She loved the fireworks and was such a trooper. She hung in until 9:30!!!
Sunday was the Annual Bolton Fourth of July Parade. We shined up the golf cart and carried it down to Ms. Bettye’s house by lunch and began decorating. Granny D and Jennice came all the way from Bay Springs for the parade. Cooper and his Mom came, as well as Mary Beth
After a wonderful lunch (see below)
We lined up for the Parade…….
After such a busy weekend, Amelia went and finished out her 4th with Granny D and Poppa Marvin. The rest of the crew cooled off at the pool and enjoyed ribs, baked beans and good company.
I have TONS more pictures so if you would like to see those just click HERE
Happy Fourth of July!!!
