Saturday was a BUSY day!!! We started the day of with HUGE breakfast. It was for the best, because we did not know the day we had before us.
Fried Grits....yes...Fried grits. If you haven't had them...you should. My grandfather, Grandy, started cooking them and he has passed the frying pan to the next generation, but wow, they are good
Think grits coated with egg and fried....not the healthiest....but oh so good!
After breakfast we piled in the Volvo and headed out on a field trip. I am in the third row....this is the second time we have used this. Good thing I am short!
Doesn't Mollie looked thrilled to be riding with us. We were not sure if it was the third row and and lack of room or the fact that she was on the family field trip. Lets just saw we ventured into a no "tweeting" zone!
Our first stop was Jeremy's new job site. It is still under constuction. And for those who haven't heard we will be moving back to Mississippi in June. More on that later.
If you are near Edwards, you MUST ride over the wooden bridge, however, it is not wooden anymore!!!
It used to be a rickety bridge that was an adventure....well this guy is not the same, but it still is interesting. Mom and Dad said several trucks have gotten stuck!
Of course the Easter Bunny had to hop and he needed some help with the eggs.
Everyone was inolved.....
And the final product....
The Easter Bunny brought Amelia a basket with blocks and her own set of keys!!!
Oh yeah!!! Did I mention the chocolate bunny ?
She played in the yard with Pops while he cooked for Easter dinner.
Someone's hair is turning red....
Amelia after church with her Aunt Mollie
and then hanging with her Woo!
It was a busy weekend. Between the family field trip, dying eggs, Easter dinner and traveling, we were exhausted. We all had a case of the Monday’s today!
