We have a date!

So I cruised back to the baby Doctor yesterday with the Bad News Bears in tow.   I was having an ultra sound done to check the position so Jeremy and Amelia tagged along. 

Amelia missed her nap at daycare and apparently her Daddy needs one during this time of day, so they were quite a pair!  After visiting the restroom 14 times (for Amelia, not me) we finally made it back.   Amelia was very interested at first, looking at the face and arms and feet, but then noticed the strange green gooey junk on my tummy.   She wanted to know why they were painting my belly with that.   She did however proudly carry all of the pictures of her "baby brother/sister" around the entire visit!

After the ultra sound we made our way upstairs to the doctor.  Jeremy felt it necessary to pass some lethal gas in the small room while we waited and Amelia wanted to hide behind the changing curtain....I really don't blame her!

The doctor came in and reviewed ultrasound results.   Every thing looked good, however they are monitoring a small issue with the bladder, and will follow up with an ultrasound in two weeks.  He said these are fairly common and nothing to worry about.   Still any prayers would be nice. 

The baby is locked, loaded and in position.   I have feet kicking me in my ribs and a head and hands dancing on my bladder.   Sounds like fun huh???  He/She is weighing in at approximately 4.8 lbs.  

Speaking of weight.   I am not sure how it happened but in the 2 1/2 weeks since I last went to the doctor I only gained 1 lbs.   Seriously!!!  Eating has been like a hobby to me....I am sure all that food is going to show up soon!  The scale said 23 lbs which is less that last time, but on my count I am at 24 lbs total.

We set the date for the csection for June 4th....sound vaguely familiar.   Amelia's birthday is June 3rd.   HA!!! So unless I go into labor, we will have back to back birthdays.  

We will do a platelet count in two weeks and see how those guys are hanging.  They went up last time, so hopefully they have stayed the same of gone up.  

And we keep chugging along......

33 Weeks

How Far Along: 32 Weeks, 2 Day

How Big is Baby: Size of a Honeydew and measures around 17.2-18.7 inches, wieghs between 4.2-5.8 lb

Weight Gain: Go to the Doctor tomorrow so we will see.  I am guessing at least a few pounds.  I have been eating like there is no tomorrow!!!

Sleep: Actually getting some!!!  Going to jinx myself, but sleeping for longer periods and fairly comfortable at night.   Now don't get me wrong, I can make the trip to the bathroom in my sleep.

Best moment this week: Went to Birmingham and got to visit so old friends from work and came home to my honey-do list complete!

Food Cravings: Water, water and more water!!! 

Foods I Can't Stand: Chocolate...mostly cause of heartburn

Movement: I really think this kiddo is practicing for Dancing with the Stars in my belly!  It moves all day long.

What I miss:  Running...finally had to give it up.  It had gotten to uncomfortable and took to long to recover...so I am walking, walking, walking!!!

What I am looking forward to: Starting to countdown until school is out and getting the nursery finished! 

Milestones: Hopefully set a date tomorrow at the doctor, or at least get an idea....and only 6 weeks left!!!  Holy Cow!!!

Working on My Fitness: Walking like a mad woman.  Jeremy, Amelia and myself get 45 minutes in most everyday.   Really enjoy our afternoon walks.

So she loves her running shoes, shorts, and playing outside.....however girl doesn't miss the opportunity for some sparkles and jewelry either!!!

31 Weeks

Sorry for the delay in the picture my photographer was MIA the other day when I posted. 

So this is 31 weeks and 4 days as I head out for league tennis.  By the way, hitting drop shot after drop to the pregnant lady is just rude....just saying. 

Some serious growth has taken place and I invested in another UA shirt so now I have my pumpkin and pea as Jeremy call me!

31 Weeks

How Far Along: 31 Weeks, 1 Day

How Big is Baby: Size of a Pineapple and measures around 16 inches long and weighing at 3.5  pounds

Weight Gain: 24.5 lbs...went to the Doctor today and that was the verdict! So a little less than a pound a week.  Waiting on that giant grown spurt again!

Sleep: The past two weeks have been a little better.  Still up and down to pee quite a few times.   But actually slept longer stretches the last week....like 6 hours straight!!  However, I did not think I was going to get to the bathroom without a giant mess!

Best moment this week: Busy Easter weekend spent with family and friends.   We also took a "venture" to a Wildlife Safari and Gator Farm in Louisiana on Friday then hung around the pool on Sunday.   Great Weekend!!!

Food Cravings: Gatorade...and in mass quantities...may have something to do with my time I am spending in restroom...hmmm???

Foods I Can't Stand: Still not fond of any type of seafood

Movement: Starting to do the knotting up on one side the popping or jumping to the other.  Also, making my belly into strange forms and shapes.   Just a busy little booger in there. 

What I miss:  Walking up stairs without getting out of breath and being able to do the laundry at our house without hitting my belly every time!!!

What I am looking forward to: Loving the longer days and time outside.  Just playing and enjoying the weather. 

Milestones: Single digit countdown!!!  Only 9 weeks to go, 8 if we do the C-section at 39 weeks.  Which is really hard to believe.   This pregnancy has flown by!!!

Working on My Fitness: Weather was not to cooperative this week, so was not able to get outside and walk until Wednesday, but in general keeping up the 30-45 minutes of walking each day.  Still mixing some running in, but it takes several days to recoup after a run.   I ran and walked pushing Amelia and it was good, just takes longer to get back to running again.  Ran a 5k with my friend on Saturday and ran with her.   We had a great time!!!

Other updates:  Had a Doctor appointment today and they did blood work.  My platelets were UP!!!  They went from 100K to 113K so that is wonderful.  Hoping they will continue on this trend on stay steady.   The heartbeat was at 130 bpm this time.   Last time it was 150bpm....so much for consistency!  I have had heartburn from hell and the doc suggested some OTC meds to help with that.  I also think chocolate and drinking while I eat is a main cause so bye bye choc and liquids between meals!  I go back in two weeks for an ultrasound to check growth and position.  Amelia is going with us, so this should be interesting!!! 

March In Review

Totally random order, but this is a snapshot...literally of what we did in March!!!

Remember the Tornado that hit the playroom...it keeps coming back!!!  I guess she likes singing the clean up song, because we belt that thing cleaning this mess up!!!

We Met Mary Beth at Chickfila for a lunch date.  While waiting Amelia solved all the world's problems with some serious deep thinking!!!

March also brought the purchase of some spring shoes.  This is one of our two new pair of Toms.  The other pair are Pink Sparkles...I personally love this pair and wish they made them in my size!!!

We also did a little planting.   Amelia hung out with Maddie, in her swimsuit while the rest of the crew worked in the garden.

Okay, so maybe she lost all her clothes at this stage of the planting game.  We decided to spruce up the planters on the front porch and next thing I know someone is sporting her birthday suit....a swimsuit was the next best options for her that day!

This day she dresses herself.  Fabulous Choices!!!  The orange shoes match the orange in her shirt.   That was about all that matched!!!

Mornings have not been the easiest around here either.  

With all the warm weather we couldn't miss the opportunity to get out the purple sprinkler and test it out!!! Remember that purchase from last fall, when she wrangled her Pox into buying it.  

 

  

With all the nice weather we have been getting our fitness on...Jeremy, Amelia, Mollie and myself did a 5k at the Capital to help fight obesity...I really look like I swallowed a pumpkin!!! 

 

And of course we can't forget the St. Paddy's Day Race.   I am in LOVE with this picture.  Happiness and Joy and such a feeling of "I Did It" on the sweet little face.

Finally we were so busy one day we had to make a list.   I am proud to say we accomplished EVERYTHING ON THIS LIST!!! 

 Packing and Taking Daddy his "lunchbox" is a treat when we are off school

 

 And someone got her face painted like a beautiful butterfly at the zoo.  It had to wear off....there was no option of even washing it off!!!

So those are just a few highlight of March.   It was busy, with weddings, spring break, birthdays and races, but it was such a blast!!!
