Ice Cream Social

Since Nina and Grandy could not make it to grandparents day chick fil a, we decided to have our very own outing. We met them after coffee and the Dairy Queen for a yummy afternoon snack. Amelia, without a doubt LOVED hers!!!!

First Haircut

So it was that time, the mullet had gotten unrully and it was time to tame it!  We ventured out this morning to see Mal and get Amelia's first haircut.

 She loved the spray bottle...She had a little sip or two from it as well.   Good thing we are germaphobics!!!

A Day of First

We had our first haircut and our first trip to Waffle House this morning p celebrate.

Big Girl and Daddy went to hang with Cortney and her crew along with a few others on Saturday. She loved the tricycle. I got this picture with the caption. "Drive it like you stole it....Oh wait, she did!!!"

Even ran into Mallory on Bourbon Street. She had quite a few things to say!!! Love ya Mal!!!

Hanging with the Boys

With Mom out of town this weekend Amelia got to hang with the boys.   She went farming on Sunday.  She road with Jeremy as he helped out in the field.  She got to ride in the "big girl" seat.

However, farming got to be too much and someone had to take a little break....

Now it wasn't all just hanging with the boys.  She got to spend some quality time with Woo.   She picked up the book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" at the Book Fair last week and her and Woo are doing a little Sunday morning reading

Still snoozing....She slept for three hours!

She also assisted Woo in the kitchen.  This is her "Super Cook" outfit.  She was moving to fast to catch the cape in action.  

40 times...Really???

When the lady next to us said she has seen Dave Matthew's Band 40....yes 40 times, I seriously thought she was crazy.....I have a new opinion today.

Mollie and I so enjoyed our trip to Dallas.   We toured the JFK Memorial Museum ( post those pictures later)

We have two photos...one take before and one during....the excitement level greatly increased in the second.

Weekend Project

Just a small project Jeremy and I tackled this weekend.  Thanks to Jeremy's Mom I acquired this great piece of furniture.   Actually I staked my claim to it about 5 years ago, just didn't have anywhere to put until recently.   Well move into a house that has a kitchen with a few less cabinets and "ding"  light bulb.  

My parents, Amelia and myself went and got this baby out out storage about a month ago.  It has been hanging around the shop since then.  With the weather being so nice this weekend, we figured why not! 

This is the before....before zero cleaning, zero anything!!!

Jeremy cleaned and stripped most of the paint off, I didn't get a picture of that, but it had green on the trim.   Really neat piece. 

After cleaning and stripping all the paint off, I painted it a nice shad e of smokey blue.

When that was done, I used a gel stain.  My new Kitchen Hutch!!!

Hangin' Around

Daddy wasn't feeling the best, so Amelia hung with him on the couch!

Is this a sign its time to cut that night time bottle out.  She grabbed it and got in her rocker and gave it to herself???  Yeah I know!

15 Months

We went for our checkup today. Good news. Someone's head is only 80th percetile this time!!! She weighs 25 lbs and is 31 inches long. Amelia is meeting all the milestones and moving right along. She did get two shots and a finger prick. The shots wiped her out this time. She took a 3 1/2 hour nap this afternoon. But is up and enjoy her milk and bunnies. Oh yeah. And harassing the cat!!!
