Amelia received the neatest blanket this past weekend. Our old neighbors from across the street gave it to her. I grew up with their daughter and she now has a little girl who is 18 months old. Lets just say that this is what every little girls needs. Mrs. Joy made this blanket. On one side it is super soft and the other is silky. Amelia loves to hang out and scoot around on the soft side. We affectionately call the blanket "pinkie" because a blanket this great needs a name!!!

Our New Ride
Amelia has been crusing around the neighborhood in her new ride. It is a good thing it came equipped with a MP3 adaptor and speakers since the girl loves her music!!!
Apparently all that exercise is exhausting....Girl, was out when we got back to house.

Twinkle Twinkle is for Losers
Someone was a tab bit fussy the other night. We already know she is a fan of the Black Eyed Peas and loves the song Boom Boom Pow. We can pull the song up on the computer and play it and Amelia chills right out. Her Daddy on the other hand wanted to try "his" music. Needless to say he was thrilled when she calmed down listening to a little Metallica.

Newborn Pictures
A while back I posted a sneak peak to Amelia's newborn pics we had taken. Well here they are...go to www.amandapair.com/hutchinson
The Forgotten One
Oh, what a rough life he lives, sleeping 23 hours a day on a nice comfy bed, getting all the attention he possibly can. Life couldn't be any better. Then it happened....this screaming little thing came home and it has not left. Meow Meow has been adjusting to life with a new baby slowly.
When we first got home from the hospital we did not see him for two days, then he slowly made his way out. He now hangs out at the end of the bed during the day and at night makes sure he gets plenty of snuggle time in. He does however show interest in the baby....slightly. It more like a curiosity. He will not get very close, and if Amelia moves, Meow jumps and runs. He comes in her room while we are playing, just doesn't like to get to close. He even gets up at night when she eats, but he chooses to sit outside her door an sleep.
However, today after a quick run to the grocery store I came home to find this.
Apparently "Frog Man" had gotten the toilet paper from the bathroom, drug it into the bedroom, and began to shred a roll.
When I called the Meow, he immediately came to the site of the incident. He has this look on his face as to say....."It was NOT me, look, frog man is still there! I wouldn't do that!"
Needless to say, maybe someone needs a little more attention.....

Growing....
Just a few pictures from the past few days!!!
Amelia and I hanging out learning sign language....we are working on the sign for bathroom...it tends to be the one we use the most here lately!
Amelia got some FABULOUS outfits from my college roommate...we decided to play dress up one day....Outfit 1
Amelia says "Happy Birthday America, Holla"
Amelia enjoyed hanging out on her tummy for a little while in her room.
Here is a close up shot of her....I think the eyes are going to be blue...
All that work on her tummy made her hungry. Note the new outfit....that would be the second one of the day. So much for our patriotic them....we tried! She gulped down her snacked and passed smooth out. Piglet is growing everyday. I think she is up to three chin's now!!!

What I Have Learned About Parenting So Far...
- Sleep...doesn't exist anymore. And if it does it is in short increments.
- Baby gear is complicated. All the gadgets come with confusing straps, crazy scary looking animals that attach and are there to "soothe" the baby and you pretty much need an engineering degree to assemble and work most of it.
- Diapers. Holy Cow...to everyone who gave us diapers as a shower gift...THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I am amazed at how many we go through. Also, they have a weight category on the side, I am beginning to wonder if that is the baby's weight or the amount the diaper will hold!
- Bumbling Idiots. That is what you turn into. I find myself singing, dancing and making up songs to make Amelia laugh, smile or just stop crying !!! This is either a parental instinct or it goes back to the lack of sleep.
- Piles of Clothes. Again, amazing how many items of clothing something so little can go through in one day.
- Interesting Smells. Whether its spit up or gas....HOLY COW...some of the odors that come out of such a little person are awful. They REALLY should be coming out of a much larger person.
- Unconditional Love. No matter how many times she cries, pees on me, poops on me, spits up on me I still love her.
