Truckin'

Its farming seasons around here, so that means cotton, soybeans, and corn....oh and Pox driving the Big Truck.   Pox passes the house every day and honks the horn.  But this is not your average horn....no, it is a train horn!!!  Yes, it is really loud!!!

Anyway, Amelia has been wanting to ride in the big truck with Pox, so we managed to hitch a ride this afternoon

We got the call and waited on the church steps for Pox to start up from the 4-way stop

When Amelia heard the truck she started giggling....

And got really, really excited....Can ya tell???

Pox stopped in the middle of the street (benefit of living in a small town) and Amelia and I loaded up!!!  She was quiet for the first few minutes and was just smiling.

We made our mile and half trek down the road to the farm, honking the horn at Birdie's house.   Pox proceeded to show her how to move the valve that honks the horn when we got to the farm.   Seriously....if anyone was taking a nap or relaxing, we apologize!!!

She enjoyed her ride in the "big truck" and wanted her Pox to take her back to her house in it when it was time to go home.   We had to convince her the truck was "resting"

(excuse her ratty shoes...she loves this pair of Tom's and doesn't want to wear any others)

While at the shop, we decided to check on the pumpkins that Pox planted back this summer.
Who knew pumpkins started out like this.  I know me and my green thumb didnt!!!

There happen to be ONE pumpkin ready so Amelia and Pox cut that pumpkin off the vine.  She was pumped about taking it home.

However, it was a large pumpkin to tote for such a little girl.  She decided quickly she wanted a "baby" pumpkin and someone else needed to carry this one....

Hopefully more of the pumpkins will make and we will have enough for the Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Creativity Glows

We had another busy day. We are starting a trend here.
I decided on Friday afternoon that I was going to join Cortney at the Wells Fest 5K. It was a plus that it had a great festival with plenty of things for the kiddos to do afterwards.

Cortney kicked my rear by a measly 30 seconds but it earned her a third place finish in our age group and a sweet ceramic shoe painted by The Mustard Seed. Insert jealous....I really thought about beating a kid up and taking theirs.  Oh and we had awesome times of 27 minutes!!!

After the race we headed/jaywalked across Lakeland and hit Wells Fest up. Amelia, Gabriel, and Victoria were already making themselves at home with all the fun games.
We played in the sandbox

Then hit up the Bounce House

And don't forget the slide ... we hit that up 56935894 million times

And rode the pony!!!

But our day wasn't over.  We had special company and decided to hit up two of Amelia's favorite places....the "regular" zoo and "special" ice cream.  Oh!!!  And don't forget the TRAIN!!!

Last stop was ice cream....It was sooooo good

Finally back home we finished the evening getting creative on the patio

ADD all the way

We were super busy the past few days and all over the place. So hang in there this is a little ADD.
We started our day at the the zoo

Then Rode the Merry Go Round ....someone chose the hippo!!!  She was seriously concentrating.

Of Course all that playing makes a girl thristy and hungry.  So Mom said a snow cone and cheetoes would be AWESOME!!!

We loaded back in the car and worked on our latest trick....gettting the big trucks to honk!!!  And boy are we good at it

We met Kalee, Cooper and Olivia for lunch and then went to the park.   Holy Cow, these two played hard.

There were slide races....Amelia won all of them...Sorry Coop, better luch next time!!!

and clinbing through tubes....

And lots of swinging!!!  We had a great time!!!

Sunday we loaded up and went to "oxcord" to see MoPo.  We ate lunch on the square and visited with this guy at Square Books.   He was ready for Amelia to leave....she kinda pestered him.....

And by the time we headed home....someone was EXHAUSTED....she slept all the way home!!!

Of course she was sick Sunday, but that is another post in itself.   To make her feel better and because he is just mush when it come to Amelia....her Pox got her a purple sprinkler.   He did have to talk her down the less expensive one....but she was still happy!!!

See I told you this was ADD all the way....all over the place.  Sorry.....

Ssshhhhh....

It's Saturday, the house is quiet, Amelia went to hang with Granny D this weekend, Jeremy is Dove hunting and I am feeling a little under the weather.   Don't worry I have gotten to catch up with my favorite chair and enjoy so quaility time with the remote and the long awaited opening weekend of College Football.

I was going to go to the beach this weekend with Mom and Mollie for a girls getaway....but this little thing called Tropical Storm Lee got in the way.  Don't worry...we rescheduled.   I think I needed the couch time to recoup from this nasty cold that has set up residence in my head.

I am off to spend a little more quality time with my favorite chair, college football and laundry.....
