It is hard to believe that this time two years ago Jeremy and I were about to welcome a sweet, precious, calm even tempered little girl into our lives. Who am I kidding....our worlds were rocked by the sweetest, most precious, goofiest (is that a word), smallest little chunk of personality.
The past two years have been nothing short of fun. Amelia is such a joy. She is always laughing and smiling. She has the best temperment and really is an easy going little booger. She has been talking up a storm and repeating everything, and I mean everything anyone says. Yes, mom cleaned her mouth up quickly!!! She loves books and being outdoors. She has a blast riding in the buggie behind Daddy's bike and telling Momma to "run faster" or "Go Momma, Go!!!" She is just a tad bit head strong and bossy. But she gets it honest.
People always ask what you did before you had kids....HA!!! I had way to much time on my hands apparently....I wouldn't trade the business of our daily lives for the hum drum of life without her.
Here are of few pictures from the past year.....Wow has she grown....

She was a star in the Christmas Program at Church

Round Six
You would never guess it, but we have Strep Throat....again. This is number 6 since August, 8 since April of last year. Amelia woke up Thursday morning at 3:00 am with fever of 103 and ready to party. Well, sorta ready to party. We more like hung out and watched the same five episodes of Chuggington that we have recorded to 6:00 am.
I ran into work (my last day) turned in my keys and gradebook, and we hit the road to Doctor's office. One quick strep test - well not really someone has learned the routine and resisted just a little bit, and asked for a sucker before even getting the test - and we were postive for strep. new medication and a appointment for Wednesday with an Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist to see where we go from here.
Its looking like someone is going to be eating an extra amount of ice cream for her birthday.....until Wednesday.

Endless Entertainment
Nothing beats an eight pack of crayons and a blank sheet of paper. Oh!!! And look and my left handed creative thinker.
She worked on this masterpiece for 30 minutes...I love you Crayola.
Water Day
Yesterday was water day at school. You better believe we have the gear for that. We dress in our fancy "kini" gathered our towel and sunscreen and put them in our awesome beach bag from the "hamas" and headed out to play.
She only paused for just a second so I could get a non blurry shot before u packing. She played hard and had a blast. I couldn't resist and had to sneak a peak on the cameras to see if she was having fun. She was kicking and floppin' like a fish out of water.

Eight
8 Years ago about this same time I was about to say " I do" to my sweet hubby. In those 8 years we have been on nothing short of an adventure. We took off to Alabama without any family and made a life and family on our own. Of course that consisted of two apartments, and two houses (one which we still own), four moves, a very large and lazy cat that I purchased, when somone told me I could have gotten one just as good from a "free to a good home" place, and a precious precious little (who will not stop growing) girl. Then.....we decided to move back home. We packed it all up, stayed with my parents for two months til we found a house and lived happily ever after.
Now of course it is not always unicorns and fairy dust. When you marry your best friend, you sometimes disagree. I think I love Jeremy more bexause he will tell me I am being irrational, stupid and just need to shut up. However, I will tell him the same. Hey, unicorns and fairy's fight....right???
Reguardless, the past eight years have been nothing short of an adventure. I would not trade a single day of it and cannot wait for many many more.
So to my husband....who occaisionally reads this blog....Happy Anniversary!

Girl Can't Catch a Break...
It's baaaackkkk....again for the fifth time since August, eighth time in a year, the dreaded Strep Throat. We didn't even go to the Doctor for Strep, but we had it. We actually went to get checked for Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease which we have as well. Talk about a fun few days around our house.
The Strep issue, however, is cause for concern since her tonsils are the size of Texas. We are going back in two weeks for her Two year check up. Yep, she will be TWO!!! and get a referral to an ENT and see where we go from there.
Until then we are hanging out at the house for the rest of week recovering.
