Acknowledgement

Well, it finally happen...Meow Meow acknowledge Amelia. It was the funniest thing. Jeremy put him in the window and then put Amelia up there. He was stuck. He had to acknowledge her. He stayed for a good 5 minutes.

This afternoon while I was folding clothes I noticed the house was EXTREMELY quiet...the following pictures would explain why!!!!

I never got my nap in....oh well!!!

Amelia's New Toy

Amelia got an exersaucer Saturday. Jeremy was PUMPED about putting it together!!!

He decided to read the instructions after the incident with the swing...Amelia watched patiently as He put the it together.

Once the Exersaucer was together she hopped in for a test run. Can you tell she was just a tad bit excited. I think the flashing lights and music took her by surprise!

She is really to small for it, but enjoyed looking at all the gadgets!

Maybe her feet will touch the bottom soon!!!

We Have Been Busy

We have been busy the past week. Amelia has done tons of growing and playing. Here are some of our latest pictures. She is beginning to like her bouncy seat. Granny D put "pinkie" in the seat and she loved it. She is spending more time talking to ellie the elephant and these days and has started to ignore the monkey. Wonder what he did to make her mad!!

We never know where she will wake up in her crib. We put her on the sleep positioner, swaddle her and the girl still squirms. She grunts, squeaks, snorts all night and this is what we have in the morning. You can't tell by this picture, but her legs have worked there way out of the swaddle!

She loves her baths....this picture was taken after she was taken OUT of the tub. She was MAD!!! What can we say, she likes the water!

So maybe this is not the best thing for her to be watching, but she is mesmerized by UFC fighting. I am not sure if it is the colors or the movements, but she will stare are it. Anyway she was practicing her moves the other day.

Granny D and Poppa Marvin came over this weekend and let Jeremy and I go out and have some adult time. We went shopping and out to eat. It was so nice. We really appreciated it!!! Poppa Marvin and Amelia got some bonding time in. Maybe he was teaching her the secret to riding horses???

This is from her first day at daycare. She did great. She got a happy check mark and had a great day. Her teacher said she did well for her first day!! She did ask if she was an only child/first child because she seemed annoyed with all the other children!!!

She has also been working on holding that Hutchinson head up!!! (sorry all you Hutchinson) This takes training from early on and she seems to be adjusting well. However, I think that smirk on her face is a combination of both Jeremy and I.

The Economy's Tough!!!

and people apparently are doing what they have to do to survive.....BS!!! Today while I was at the YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) working out, someone felt the need to go into my car. Now, they didn't break into it because it was not locked, my clicky apparently malfunctioned...so this person was looking through the parking lot and ah ha....car unlocked.

I can only imagine someone sitting in my car, going through my wallet, because it was obvious this is what they did, and picking out what they wanted. "Lets see, I want debit card one, I want debit card two, nah I will be nice and leave her license, nope, don't need insurance cards and appointment cards, OOOhhh lets take her loose change" YEP, you heard it right, joker took my change, all four hundred pennies. That was stupid on their part, because I would not have notice it until later because when I moved my wallet it weight 10 pounds less!!!!

OH YEAH!!! don't try to get in touch with me on my cell phone. Jack Leg took that, too!! So rest in piece sweet blackberry, go phone here I come. Mama is going to have to wait until another special is offered at AT&T until I can afford another one or I steal one from some poor souls car.............UGH!!!!

I guess it goes to show that people will take anything and will take it from you anywhere. I mean really.....the economy's tough! I should know, I am completely out of change now!

Two Months Old!!!

Wow, its hard to believe that Amelia is already two months old. She went yesterday for her two month check-up and passed with flying colors. She is smiling, cooing, and babbling up a storm. She is getting bigger each day. At her check-up she weighed 10 lbs and 12 oz....girl doesn't miss a meal!!! She is also so long. I think they didn't get a correct measurement, but they said she was 22 1/2 inches, but she has got to be a little longer than that.

We also had our dreaded shots!!! Not a happy camper. She has already had experiences with needles from our ER visits and the second they went to hold her down, she "threw a damn fit". She is much happier today.

We are counting down the days. This is our last week at home. I go back to work on Monday and She will start daycare. The summer has flown by.

Yeah for Me!!!

So my time frame and plan was a little off, but I am officially finished with my Master's as of today. I went this morning for my exit interview at UAB and they released me. It was a very interesting 2 years and I learned a lot. I will however, be getting my transcripts to the board ASAP so they can adjust my pay scale....you people really think I went back to learn more....nah, it was for the money!!!! But we won't see a dime of it....it comes at a great time. It will pay for Miss Amelia and her daycare............holy cow!!!!

I am glad to be finished...WOOHOOO!!!!
